Notetaking matters more than note-takers.
The point was never to add another participant to your call. It was to let you stop taking notes and start paying attention — while the record takes care of itself. That only works if the notes, and the trust that comes with them, stay with you.
Why we built Zolash
The best notetakers got one thing backwards.
A wave of AI notetakers made a real promise: stop typing, stay present, and let the software capture the meeting. The bot-less ones even fixed the awkwardness of a robot barging into the call. It genuinely worked.
But almost all of them kept one assumption from the old world — that to do anything clever with your conversation, they first had to send it to their servers. So the most sensitive thing in your day, the actual words of your meetings, quietly became someone else’s cloud data.
We thought that was backwards. The convenience is worth having; the upload isn’t. So we built Zolash to do the whole job — recording, transcription, summaries, and AI — on your own machine. Same result on the surface. A completely different relationship with your data underneath.
What we stand for
The principles behind the product.
Privacy by architecture, not by policy
A promise in a policy can be revised. A product that never uploads your meeting content can’t leak what it never had. We chose the harder engineering — running everything on your device — so trust doesn’t depend on our good behaviour.
Honest claims, precisely scoped
We won’t say “not a single byte” or wave around certifications we can’t back. We tell you exactly what stays on your machine and the few things that touch the network, so you can decide for yourself instead of taking a slogan on faith.
No dark patterns
No bot sneaking into your call, no usage meter nudging you to upgrade, no quiet background uploads. You start recording, you trigger every export, and you hold the only copy of your meetings.
Be present. Let the notes — and the trust — stay with you.
That’s the whole idea. A notetaker good enough to disappear into the background, private enough that you never have to think about where your conversations went.
Try the notetaker that keeps your meetings yours.
